St. Mary’s School celebrated its Silver Jubilee on 19th and 20th December 2025, marking 25 glorious years of excellence with great joy and enthusiasm.

On the first day, the thanks giving mass was celebrated by Bishop Dr. James Patteril CMF, of the Diocese of Belthangady with other concelebrants and then at 10:30 guests were welcomed  from the school entrence to the stage with a band and traditional drum performance from the Shingari Chendde Melam and  by the students. The programme began with a prayer dance and lighting of the lamp. Rev. Sister Elsie Vadakkemuri, Chief of the School Management, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Bishop Dr. James Patteril CMF, of the Diocese of Belthangady, presided over the function, while Emeritus Bishop Dr. Lawrence Mukkuzhy delivered the blessings.

Teachers, bus drivers, and non-teaching staff who had completed 25 years of service were honoured. Students who secured first and second ranks at the state level in the SSLC examination were also felicitated. Donors who contributed more than ₹50,000 towards the school building were honoured with mementoes. The school souvenir, highlighting the successful journey of 25 years, was released on this occasion. The formal programme was held from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by vibrant cultural performances by students. Lunch was arranged for all.

The event was attended by several dignitaries including Education Officer Mrs. Tarakesari, MESCOM President Mr. Harish Kumar, Laila Gram Panchayat President Mrs. Jayanthi M.K., KPCC General Secretary Mr. Rakshith Kumar, PTA President Mr. Reji George, Vice President Mrs. Sumita Fernandes, Correspondent Sister Elsie Pallet, Headmistress Sister Preethi George, Staff Secretary Mrs. Veena Naik, Student Leader Rachel Ladly Monis, PTA members, alumni, parents, staff, and students. Sister Linda delivered the welcome address. The programme was hosted by Mr. Vernon Mendonca and Mrs. Rooplatha, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Sister Rose.

On the second day, the programme began at 2:00 p.m., with a grand welcome by the school band and drums. Former Headmistress Sister Pilo Augustine attended as the Chief Guest. Bishop Jose Valiaparambil, Representative of the Diocese of Belthangady, presided over the function. Donors who contributed more than ₹10,000 were honoured. Cultural programmes by students, alumni, parents, and teachers added colour to the celebration.
